Ingredients for 8 pieces:
For the pies:
180 gr Mayo Vegan Sauce by Condito The Green Line
4 gr dry yeast
250 gr all-purpose whole wheat flour
a little oil for baking
For the filling:
200 gr Mixed Style grated Vegan Cheese Alternative by Condito The Green Line
2 green onions, finely chopped
3 tbsp Mayo Vegan Sauce by Condito The Green Line
fresh herbs
For the basil sauce:
2 tbsp basil pesto
2 tbsp Mayo Vegan Sauce by Condito The Green Line
Method:
In a bowl, add the Mayo Vegan Sauce, yeast, flour and knead until you have a fluffy dough. Leave the dough to rest in a warm place, until it doubles in size.
Prepare the filling. In another bowl, add the Vegan Mixed Style cheese alternative, the onions, Mayo Vegan Sauce and the herbs and mix together.
Prepare the basil sauce by mixing the basil pesto with the Mayo Vegan Sauce.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and drizzle some oil on your baking tray. Divide the dough into 8 pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
Roll out each ball by hand on a small round sheet, add a teaspoon of filling and pinch it close with your fingers before placing it in your baking tray or mold. The “seam” needs to be on the bottom. Continue with each ball until the dough is used up.Bake for about 30′ or until your vegan cheese pies have a nice, golden color.
Serve the pies with the basil sauce on the side.
