Ingredients for 4 burgers:
For the beetroot burger
500 gr boiled beetroots
60 ml olive oil
80 gr walnuts
1-2 clove garlic
1 onion
1/2 lemon (juice and zest)
1/2 bunch basil
1/2 bunch mint
400 gr oats, peeled
salt
pepper
1/2 tsp bukovo
For the burgers
4 burger buns
4 tbsp Vegan Spicy Spread with Red Sweet Peppers by Condito The Green Line
1 tomato, sliced
4 leaves of iceberg lettuce
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C using the hot air function. Add all the ingredients, except for the oats and fresh herbs (basil and mint), into a blender. Pulse well for 4 minutes until you have a uniform, watery mixture. Add the oats and pulse for another 1-2 minutes. Finely chop the fresh herbs (basil and mint), add them to the mixture and fold well using a spatula. Put the mixture for 1 hour in the refrigerator, to release its flavors. Next, shape the burgers into the size you prefer. The ingredients are enough for 4-5 large burgers. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with non-stick paper. Bake for 20 minutes at 180° C using the hot air function.
Preparing the burgers
Cut the buns in half and heat them for a bit in the toaster or oven, toasting them slightly. Spread Vegan Spicy Spread with Red Sweet Peppers on the base, add the burger, lettuce, tomato and cover. Serve with fries.
